First steps with LogisticsWMS
The order to set LogisticsWMS up in: people, catalogue, delivery points, process rules, then your first reception and your first shipping order.
This is the short version of setting LogisticsWMS up and running your first inbound and outbound flow. Each step links to the article that covers it in full.
1. Decide who works in the system
Create an account for each person and give them the profile and skills their job needs. An operator who only picks has no reason to reach the settings screens.
2. Build your catalogue
Products define what you stock and move, so set them up before anything arrives.
3. Add who you receive from and send to
Delivery and pickup points are the addresses goods come from and go to. Carriers are who moves them.
4. Set the rules for how goods flow
Reception and shipping processes decide the steps an order goes through: what is checked on arrival, whether picking is followed by packing, and whether shipping happens on its own.
5. Receive your first goods
6. Ship your first order
