Pick per unit: what it is and how to enable
Turn on unit-by-unit scanning during picking, on the shipping process, so the scan itself confirms the quantity.
Picking per unit means scanning each unit of a product individually, instead of scanning the product once and typing the total quantity.
It makes sense when a pick is only a unit or two: if the operator scans the product and types the quantity, it is easy to get it wrong without noticing. Scanning unit by unit makes the scan itself confirm the quantity.
The option lives on the shipping process, so it applies to every order that uses that process.
Instructions

Go to Settings, in the Administration section of the sidebar.

Open the Outbound tab and select the Shipping Processes tab.

Select + Add.

On the General tab, turn on Pick per unit on picking.

Fill in the rest of the process fields and select Save.
Note: you can also turn the option on for a process that already exists — open the actions menu on the process row, select edit, and turn on the same option.
