Picking, packing and stowage with All Clients selected

In a multi-client warehouse, work that comes from a document now runs without picking the client in the top bar first.

If you run a multi-client (3PL) warehouse, the client selector in the top bar lets you work with one client at a time or with All Clients. Picking, packing and stowage picking now run normally with All Clients selected, because the application takes the client from the document the task came from.

    What changed

Previously, executing a picking, packing or stowage picking with All Clients selected stopped with a missing-client message. The operator had to go back to the top bar, choose the right client and start again. Since the shipping order already states who the client is, that step was redundant.

    How the client is determined

When you confirm an operation, the application looks for the client in the work itself, and only falls back to the top bar as a last resort:

    • The picking wave the operation belongs to.
    • The shipping order behind the picking or packing container, when that container maps to a single client.
    • The reception, for inbound work.
    • Only if none of the above apply, the client selected in the top bar.

Because the first three cover all document-driven work, an operator can stay on All Clients for a whole shift and still have every movement attributed to the correct client.

    Instructions

    1. Leave the client selector in the top bar on All Clients.
    2. Open the Instructions menu and pick up the task as usual.
    3. Run the picking, packing or stowage picking normally | you are never asked to choose a client.

Note: work with no document behind it, such as a manual stock adjustment, still needs a specific client selected in the top bar, because there is nothing for the application to read the client from. In those cases you will still be prompted to choose one.
