    Put-away (Warehousing)

    What is Put-away?

Put-away is the logistics process that occurs after receiving and inspecting goods, consisting of moving items from the unloading dock to their final storage location. It is one of the most critical phases for inventory integrity.

    WMS Intelligence in Put-away

The software doesn't just say "store wherever there's space"; it executes Slotting strategies:

    Logical Location

The WMS suggests the location based on turnover, weight, volume, and product compatibility (e.g., not placing chemicals next to food)

    RF Confirmation

The operator scans the pallet code and the destination location code to ensure the system knows exactly where the product was placed

    Space Optimization

Suggests consolidation into locations that already contain the same batch or product
