Client portal: new navigation and dashboard

The client portal now has its own side menu and top bar, and a new Dashboard as its starting page, with shortcuts to orders, receptions and products.

    What it does

The client portal now has its own layout, separate from the menus of the main application: a side menu with the portal sections, a top bar with the user's account, and a new Dashboard as the portal's starting page, with shortcuts to the client's orders, receptions and products.

    How it works

    Side menu and top bar

Every portal screen now opens inside the portal's own layout. The side menu lists the portal sections: Dashboard, Receptions, Orders, Products, Inventory and Delivery Points. The menu button at the top left collapses the side menu down to its icons, and the browser remembers that choice. On smaller screens, the side menu closes by itself after a section is chosen.

The top bar shows Client Portal and the name of the section the user is in. On the right, clicking the user's name opens a menu with their name and email and the Log out option.

    The Dashboard

The Dashboard is now the portal's starting page and the first entry in the side menu. It shows:

    • A greeting with the client's name and two buttons that go straight to Inventory and Orders.
    • The activity figures clients already had: Total Products, Stock Records, Active Orders, Pending Receptions, and the orders and receptions of the last 30 days.
    • Three shortcut cards, Orders (active orders), Receptions (pending receptions) and Products (total products), each opening the matching list.

If the figures can't be loaded, the page shows an error message with a Retry button.

    Important notes

    • This applies automatically to every client with portal access; there is nothing to turn on.
    • Existing links to portal pages, such as a specific order, reception or product, keep working. Only the surrounding layout and the starting page changed.
    • The side menu always lists every portal section, but what each user can open is still governed by their portal permissions. To see the Dashboard, a user needs the View permission on the Dashboard section.
    • The portal screens are only available to client portal users; your warehouse's internal users can't open them.
    • For what clients can see and export in the stock and order screens, see Client portal: stock, exports and delivered lots.
