NMVS — National Medicines Verification System
Medicine verification and serialization with MVO Portugal. Paid add-on.
⚠️ Paid add-on — this integration is an add-on to your base plan. When you activate it, if you don't already have the subscription, you'll be prompted to confirm it. Disabling the plugin does not automatically remove the add-on from your subscription — to stop being charged you have to remove it from the Subscription page.
What it does
Connect the WMS to the Portuguese MVO PT system for verification and serialization tracking of pharmaceutical products, as required by medicines regulation.
How it works
- All NMVS communication is authenticated with your organisation's credentials and a digital certificate (mTLS) — not just user / password.
- There's a Communications tab with the complete request / response history, useful for auditing and troubleshooting.
- An MVO PT Validator lets you test verifications before running against production.
- Actions → NMVS menu: enter the product code(s) and select the action to communicate; check the history under Communications.
How to set it up
- Activate the plugin under Plugins → Other Integrations.
- In the General tab, set the organisation identification parameters.
- In the Authentication tab, enter the credentials provided by the NMVS authority (Client ID, Client Login ID, Sub-User ID, Password).
- In the Certificate tab, upload your digital certificate (
.pfxor.p12) and its password. You can replace the certificate or change the password whenever needed.
Important notes
- Without a valid digital certificate uploaded, NMVS communication fails — it's a pre-requisite, not an extra. See MVO Certificate — renewal for the renewal process.
- This integration only applies to pharmaceutical products subject to serialization.
