Put-to-Light
What is Put-to-Light?
Unlike Pick-to-Light (where items are picked), Put-to-Light is used in the distribution or consolidation process. It is common in operations where a large quantity of stock arrives at the preparation zone and needs to be divided among several customer orders or different physical stores.
How It Works
Item Scanning
The operator scans the item code and lights turn on at the destination containers or boxes that need that item.
Quantity Indication
The display indicates how many units should be placed in each box.
Ideal Applications
It is the ideal solution for cross-docking processes and for fashion or food retail.
